Artist statement
What if an image could never be seen the same way twice? My work explores this possibility through materials that resist a fixed appearance. Iridescent cellophane and vinyl, dichroic film, resin, and transparent acrylic shift with light and perspective — color slips between hues, depth becomes uncertain, and seemingly static forms remain in flux. Windows, portals, and geometric patterns recur throughout my paintings and sculptural objects. Drawn from architecture and the fleeting impressions of reflected and cast light, these familiar forms become thresholds between interior and exterior, surface and space, the tangible and the imagined. I'm interested in the moment when something familiar becomes unfamiliar — when a surface suggests an opening, a reflection creates an illusion of depth, or a simple shift in perspective reveals something entirely unexpected.
