Lives and works in Rabat, Morocco
Artist statement
My work explores the inner architectures we move through over the course of a lifetime. I draw structures that are neither real places nor pure abstractions, but mental spaces: thresholds, passages, zones of instability, tension, and reconfiguration. Through geometric forms, nested frames, active voids and suspended lines, I seek to give visible form to the invisible processes of human experience. To lose one’s way. To face vertigo. To choose a direction. To discover an opening. To remain suspended within uncertainty. To perceive a glimmer. To connect what was separated. To integrate. Black and white do not function here as opposites, but as complementary forces. The void is never an absence; it is an inhabited space, at times unsettling, at times luminous. Structure is not a certainty, but an attempt to contain what overflows, to remain upright within movement. Each work belongs to a broader cartography I call inner paths. These drawings do not seek to explain or to guide. They offer an experience: a space in which the gaze moves, pauses, hesitates, and recognizes. What matters is not what is understood, but what resonates. The place where the gaze comes to rest, and what is stirred there.
