Adeline de Monseignat
Lives and works in Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico
Artist statement
Adeline de Monseignat is a sculptor whose practice explores the body, memory, motherhood and our relationship to the natural world. Working across stone, bronze, glass and organic materials, she draws on the tactile and symbolic qualities of matter to examine transformation, resilience and care. Her forms often emerge from familiar motifs, such as seeds, pebbles, leaves, spheres and bodily fragments, shifted in scale to become both intimate and monumental. Rooted in lived experience yet reaching towards universal narratives, her work considers sculpture as a vessel for memory: something that can hold traces of our bodies, relationships and environments across time.
