Artist statement

My current work focuses on environmental sustainability by upcycling plastics, transforming ubiquitous materials destined for disposal into innovative art. By repurposing plastic, I aim to contribute to a circular economy and reduce environmental impact. I utilize plastic bags as a medium to explore profound themes such as immigration, the identity of self, and the essence of community. Through these themes, I highlight the intricate relationships between individuals and their environments, fostering a sense of connection and responsibility.
