Artist statement
LunAethera creates digital ertegi: contemporary speculative stories in which artificial beings, interfaces and landscapes enter systems they cannot fully understand or control. The practice began in 2023 as a private experiment, without a plan to exhibit. Eyes, spirals, luminous centres and techno-organic forms kept appearing across early images. The image appeared before its meaning had a name. Over time, the question moved through different forms. Aetherion began with the attractor. In Homo Neo-Sapiens, technological change entered the body. Lumina Nova shifted from the transformed human toward a presence that is harder to name. In GRIEF, human emotion became something a machine could read and score. Press Start to Save the Ocean turned a living system into an interface that promises control. NEXT OBSERVER asks what happens when the observer itself changes. Artificial intelligence is part of this process, but not its subject or autonomous author. LunAethera develops the concept, sets constraints, directs iterations, selects, rejects, animates, composites and edits. The process remains open to forms that were not planned in advance. Across the work, one question keeps changing shape: who is inside the system, who is looking, and what happens when those positions are no longer fixed?
