Lives and works in Madrid, Spain
Artist statement
My practice begins with documents at the point where their informational function is interrupted. I work with printed matter through accumulation, concealment, burning, and reuse. Rather than treating combustion simply as destruction, I approach it as a material and editorial process that removes, reveals, transforms, and redistributes information. Destruction becomes a method of disclosure. I am interested in how knowledge is preserved, classified, transmitted, and erased, and in what remains once a document can no longer fulfill its original purpose. Through painting, relief, and installation, I explore how these residues—material, visual, and conceptual—can continue to produce meaning after the documents from which they emerge have lost their initial function.
