Artist statement
Drawing inspiration from non-art modes such as physics or evolutionary modelling, I create sculptures to generate fresh experience and help dissect the nature of experience itself: What can be fancifully described as a form of “folk-phenomenology” I create sculptures as well as large-scale panoramic photographs of temporary sculptures using novel, non-linear processes that tinker with relations such as cause and effect, scale, timescales, and physical forces. The disruptive nature of the various techniques aims to celebrate the fringes of experience: A domain in which we might gain insights into how our minds generate and navigate the world.
