Artist statement

I consider myself a poorformer and multimedia artist. My work moves between mixed media, taking on video sculpture, body art, archaeology and performance. My methodology resorts to the appropriation of signs from cultural history to analyze the violence that occurs within power structures, which implies an arid relationship with issues such as class struggle and sociocultural conflicts that occur as a consequence of the inequality in the contemporary system. All these elements combine a critical enunciation that leads to the creation of artistic work to identify systemic oppressions in culture, based on a performative social practice that becomes a study of the memories and narratives of the counter-hegemony.
