Artist statement

My work is conceptual and is inspired by science, nature and history. I work in a multitude of mediums to communicate the ideas I am exploring. Often those ideas take a three dimensional form - non-traditional sculpture or installation art. I continue to explore the concept of consilience as it relates to repetition and pattern. Patterns made organically in nature via tree bark, rock formations, mycelium, rolling hills or water in concert with movements made by humans. It is the connection that each of these share that interests me. I am comparing and finding similarities within each category. I am experimenting and creating visual systems to express these connections. I am seeking to define the interrelated laws of nature and human interaction. They - We are all made of the same thing.
