Artist statement
Playful and poetic, my conceptual, multidisciplinary art practice calls into question the effects of the virtual world on everyday life. Rooted in my personal experience, I vacillate between physical and digital worlds, drawing attention to frequently used digital platforms, such as Instagram or Amazon, and the ways they influence one's identity and behavior. Seemingly simple tools can have a profound impact on the ways we behave through the limitations they impose on one’s actions, often invisibly and by design. My work functions as a playful critique of these platforms in order to reconsider how we might engage with them in unexpected ways.
