Artist statement
Combining playfulness with seduction I intertwine fact and fiction, blurring the boundaries between the possible and the impossible. This results in the creation of tinged bucolic worlds of mystery, imagination and eerie beauty. I am recreating intrigues, telling stories about the confluence of myth, history, science and scandal. I make provocative drawings and painterly works which often open doorways to much larger multi-textural, often kinetic installation worlds. These environments provoke a sense of wonder and desire, but also the potential for menace.
