Lives and works in Los Angeles, CA

Artist statement

Angie Jones, also known as Stix and Jones, is an American artist living and working in Los Angeles, California. She uses painting, video, and sculpture to investigate how technology invades our lives. Angie deconstructs the work using faceted surfaces (like low polygon video game art) to create something new from something old and make it new again. Angie Jones is also not your ordinary artist; she has over 25 years of mastery in Visual Effects and Animation. From Stuart Little, Pan's Labyrinth, and X-Men to the realm of video games with titles like Red Dead Redemption and Abe's Exoddus, her experiences fuel her distinct "peak shift" palette and textured surfaces that dance with personality. Angie's curiosity extends to new media, where blockchain's potential drives her exploration of NFT utilities and the vibrant Web 3.0. In January 2022, her tokens on the Ethereum blockchain vanished within minutes on @OpenSea. Her upcoming drop, @BEASTMOBnft - The Beast Mob, arriving in Summer 2022, will showcase one-of-a-kind masterworks and intricate PFP collections, each a realm of unique narratives and lore within...
