Artist statement

My practice centers on the relationship between inner states and their bodily expression —the way the body becomes a surface where invisible psychological structures make themselves visible. I am fascinated by how our internal reality manifests physically, often before we can articulate it. I work across a dialogue of disciplines — literature, cinema, and painting — allowing concepts to evolve through different narratives before they crystallize on canvas. My interest lies in taking an unspoken construct or an unnamed "rule of reality" and giving it material form through figurative expression. These are the patterns of perception and inherited systems of meaning that exist in our shared subconscious. By making these constructs visible, I aim to trigger a moment of somatic recognition: that instant when a viewer encounters something they already knew, but had never seen. My work seeks to open a space for dialogue around what we carry collectively but rarely name.
