Lives and works in Indonesia
Artist statement
My practice explores movement, gesture and the traces left behind by the creative process. I work primarily with abstract painting and mixed media, using acrylic, spray paint, pastel and other materials on paper and canvas. I approach each work as an intuitive process rather than a predetermined composition. Layers are built through spontaneous gestures, marks, splashes, drips and the interaction of different materials. Some elements are added, covered, disrupted or re-emerge, allowing the surface to retain evidence of the decisions and physical actions that shaped it. I am interested in the tension between control and spontaneity, structure and chance. The resulting works are not intended to represent a specific subject or narrative, but to preserve a sense of movement and energy within the surface. Each piece develops through a dialogue between intention and accident, where the traces of the process become an essential part of the final image.
