Artist statement

My artistic practice is mainly in the field of figurative painting. The exact starting point for the works are the images I collect from various sources, and from which I draw inspiration. My works combine political, social and personal experiences, making references to cultural processes and the state of society today. The elements included vary form easily recognisable and familiar objects and forms, to completely abstract and entirely painterly matter and substances. My paintings are not direct representations, they are some sort of emotional expressions.
