Lives and works in Mexico
Artist statement
The world asks to be recognized. Every existence is whole, singular, and irreducible. We inhabit the world through relationships, and every encounter transforms the realities it brings together. My practice emerges from this understanding of existence as relational and continuously transforming. I investigate presence as something that can acquire material form. Matter is not merely a medium through which an idea is expressed; it is an active participant in the formation of experience. It receives, transforms, and makes visible what exists within relationships. Through painting and its expansion into structure, space, body, and textile, I explore how presence becomes form and how form can hold what would otherwise remain intangible. The Persistence of Matter is the ongoing framework of this inquiry. It asks what remains when experience changes form, and how matter can continue to carry presence through transformation. My practice is a continuous attempt to make visible what persists.
