Artist statement

Coco Brun is a multidisciplinary and itinerant artist from Brittany, France, who creates installations, textiles, paintings, and sculptures that blur the lines between art and craftsmanship. Deeply concerned with the future of nature, her approach revolves around the observation and understanding of the perpetual transformations in the natural world. She explores the tension between the necessity to grasp an uncertain future and the desire to reconnect with familiar elements, a contradiction central to her artistic quest. Nature itself is in constant flux, with minerals evolving into new forms, plants cycling through life and death, and animals adapting to ever-changing environments. Her work incorporates these transformative processes to encourage reflection on humanity's place in a world continuously undergoing degradation. Without limiting herself to any specific medium, she enjoys exploring and transforming materials in innovative ways.
