Artist statement

My artistic practice is articulated around a central inquiry: Can inspiration be trained? Through plastic research grounded in neuroplasticity, pareidolia, and cognitive states, I investigate how the human mind decodes chaos and projects meaning onto ambiguity. My methodology unfolds in three distinct phases: the Subconscious, driven by automatic mark-making, graphite, PanPastel, and tactile paper collages where latent archetypes emerge; the Unconscious, shaped by sensory and sonic conditioning; and Consciousness, where meditative states synthesize form into a rigorous dialogue with philosophy and cognitive science. Rather than treating the artwork as a finished aesthetic object, I conceive the paper surface as an active cartography of the mind. By balancing organic gesture with silent geometric tension, my work captures the threshold where involuntary neural impulses transform into conscious visual language.
