Artist statement
Connor is passionate about innovative design practices and fostering spaces which inspire collaboration, inclusivity, and joy. He graduated with a degree in architecture in 2017 from Temple University. His focus in community and design has led him to work with renowned community art activists such as Lily Yeh and Pepon Osorio. In 2018 he instructed a STEM design program for sixth through eighth graders at Woodrow Wilson Middle School through a teaching artist residency with PAEP(Philadelphia Arts and Education Partnership). Following his residency Connor worked at Studio Ludo as a Designer and was heavily involved in the design of two large scale playscapes for the Omaha Riverfront Revitalization Project and Philadelphia’s first rooftop playscape at Child’s Elementary. This past year Connor returned to his hometown in rural Pennsylvania where he sought refuge through his exploration of the vast landscape, collecting Native American artifacts, drawing futurist urban skylines and redefining folk art in the digital age through his hand-construction of intricate light sculptures: Objectophelia which were displayed at Hot.Bed's Summerhouse 2021. Since Connor has moved to Brooklyn, NY where he is continuing his artistic pursuits.
