Lives and works in New York, NY

Artist statement

My recent paintings and prints explore the relationship between color, line, and structure. In the Stripes paintings, continuous bands of color create shallow, curtain-like spaces that focus attention on hue, contrast, and rhythm rather than deep illusion; blue, white, and ocher often evoke the sea. In the Transcendent Structures aquatints, geometric principles, including the Golden Ratio and Silver Ratio, organize color and form, providing a framework for balance and spatial relationships while remaining largely invisible. Across both series, the emphasis is on direct visual experience and the discovery of relationships between colors, forms, and space.
