Artist statement
I work with graphite, which for me is an interesting, modern material. With its gradation in black and the ability to cover any surface so as affirm her relief I do paintings on paper. I explore the transience and vulnerability of paper. In the main part of my work, the circle is the subject of personal research. From the drawn circle or part of it, to the "empty" circle in the material of the representational surface. By drilling, scratching and cutting, looking for different compositional variants, I deprive the format of its usual profile. "Worn surfaces" are the titles of my latest works. They are part of a cycle called 'a \ chromatic cuts.
