Artist statement

My creations combine and transform fabrics, fibers, composite photography, and technology into portraits that reflect the subtle and not so subtle states of our existence. Since I was a child, I have always longed to build a foundation that could express thoughts that are difficult for me to verbalize. Nightmarish visions, traumatic events, and ordinary reflections serve as the raw materials for my fabric portraits. As I continue on this journey, my fabric portraits now serve as my inspiration to keep evolving my thoughts into something less abstract and more concrete.
