Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY, USA

Artist statement

Ehren Clodfelter (b. 1982, North Carolina)is a self taught artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His autobiographical weighted work creates a treaty between the recognizable and the purely abstract, creating expressive examples of modern domestic iconography. Clodfelter’s paintings, drawings, and sculptures avoid superfluous detours in favor of truth found in simplicity and subconscious influence. A constant observer of self and environment, his goal is to create honest, telling work that explores the layers of his daily search for peace and economy in a personal and original visual language.
