Artist statement
Using my pictures as the basis for a silkscreen print allows me to explore the concept of transformation and impermanence in my art. Part of each piece is printed with an inkjet printer, leaving the rest of the sheet white. I reconstitute the image by silkscreening the missing part. By translating a precise inkjet portrait into a silkscreen print, I deliberately introduce imperfections and inconsistencies, creating a new interpretation of the original image. This process challenges the notion of beauty and perfection, inviting the viewer to contemplate the fleeting nature of aesthetics and the inevitability of change.
