Artist statement

“I believe in art as a means to communicate with society and contribute to the human imagination. My work is a vehicle that allows me to engage in dialogue with the viewer, and thus find answers to personal concerns. My main searches are: (1) to question the similarities and differences between the concepts and perceptions of definition and vision, and (2) the study of optical illusion as a phenomenon that shows human equality at the cognitive level. I play with painting, drawing and three-dimensional media to show how all the individual subconscious are part of the same collective subconscious. I am interested in investigating with scientific methods the spiritual part of human reality, not the verifiable or material, but the incongruous and fantastic; to study the subconscious imaginary of which we are all part, without being aware of it”.
