Lives and works in Paris, France

Artist statement

Today, in the context of the war in Ukraine and the radicalization of society, the return of simple dichotomies such as “us/them” and “good/evil” becomes especially sharp. I see this as a symptom of imperial and totalitarian thinking, where unity is possible only through the creation of an enemy. In this situation, my practice becomes a form of resistance to simplified narratives. It is important for me to create works in which difference does not lead to rupture but becomes a condition for coexisting. I am often inspired by everyday and non-obvious objects, and I sometimes preserve them as artworks or create fake, dysfunctional objects that resemble utilitarian items or ritual artifacts. In total installations, I also use found objects, items from my personal archive, or temporary perishable substances that emit a scent.
