Artist statement

I was born and grew up in Manchester, but for good fortune I've had the opportunity to live in Madrid, Valencia and Vienna in resent years. Whilst travelling and living abroad I became more connected to new cultures and my surroundings. I started doing art in 2017 upon my return from New York,starting with acrylic paintings and then moving on to sculptures after being inspired by the Las Fallas festival in Valencia. On my return to Manchester I found the need to express my feelings and experience and began sculpting scenes from my day-to-day life. I currently work as a Door Supervisor in Manchester Gay Village.
