Lives and works in Denmark

Artist statement

In my painting, I move between perception and memory, between what is visible and what is felt. Landscape does not serve me as a motif in the classical sense, but rather as an inner space, a projection surface for moods, tensions, and movements. I work in layers, allowing colors to flow into one another, overlaying them, intervening again, and deliberately leaving traces of the process visible. Lines emerge intuitively, connecting, separating, or crossing the pictorial space and creating fragile orders that can dissolve again at any moment. I am interested in moments of transition, in ambiguity, in what is not fixed. For me, painting is an open process, a dialogue between control and letting go, in which images develop slowly without being predetermined from the outset. My works are not meant to provide clear answers, but to open up spaces in which viewers can discover their own associations, memories, and sensations.
