Lives and works in Italy
Artist statement
I am an Italian artist and researcher working across painting, photography, digital media, and installation. I investigate the image as a mutable formation, probing its shifts between analogue and digital realms. Grounded in media archaeology, I collect photographs, found materials, and personal archives, subjecting them to overpainting, transfer, and other physical or conceptual interventions. I focus on what remains when visual sources are displaced, reproduced, and transformed: traces of previous states, material residues, and details that resist complete erasure. This approach allows painting to operate beyond its conventional boundaries, questioning how visual culture is produced, circulated, and perceived. Positioned between local context and global networks, I bring an ecological gaze to visual environments. Observing their marginal zones and friction with standardized systems, I leave space for ambiguity and multiple readings.
