Artist statement

I have been a stone mason for most of my working life,it is only recently that I've devoted myself to making art.I had issues with alcohol and it caused me to lose track of my true path and identity.10 years ago I stopped drinking and I go to AA meetings, my art work is a continuation of that process.The drawings shown are from a series titled "The Prayers of the Ancients".The images begin with a random line purposely accidental, then a more measured line certain in nature is applied.I'm looking at the origins of creativity when we first started to transform and shape the world.
