Artist statement

Güven Çetinkaya ,artist creates new expressive and figurative narrative images, dynamic and rhythmic linear compositions, creating works that establish an intense perceptual and imaginary connection with the audience. The vital point; The quest of the modern world souls to find themselves again is to be inspired by observing the different types of people that have evolved with the emergence of the term post-truth and the longing for the self and the break with nature and the adventure of one's soul to deal with psychological problems between the past and the future. The street tells a lot to the artist. Seeing the invisible, experiencing the untold and trying to understand. By triggering the imagination, this becomes an essential part of the art production process. The drawings are a combination of contradictory and complementary inner movements, the amorphousness of the body, presence and absence: anxiety, pleasure, love uncertainty, migration, separation, doubt. The best quality that characterizes the paintings is to render the life form between body and soul on canvases with an intellectual and critical language, with the combination of colors and the visual imagination power offered by the color layers.
