Artist statement
My practice explores vulnerability, identity, memory, and transformation, with particular attention to migration and the female experience. I am interested in moments when a familiar sense of self becomes unstable—when we find ourselves between places, languages, roles, or emotional states. Working across photography, mixed media, and sculptural forms, I create symbolic environments using natural materials, everyday objects, and fragments of the body. Flowers, shells, stones, plants, and anatomical elements become a visual language through which I examine displacement, belonging, communication, and the relationship between the body and its surroundings. I approach vulnerability not as weakness, but as a space where transformation can begin. My work often grows from personal experience while expanding into broader questions about how identity is shaped, disrupted, and reconstructed through change.
