Artist statement
As an artist, I am always looking for the natural beauty in life and truly enjoy creating pieces that bring joy to others in some form. I have been drawing comic book characters since I was very young as it was maybe an escape from reality. I soon realized I was born with a gift that not everyone had and people really appreciated my work regardless of age, ethnicity, relationship, etc. I spent the early part of my adulthood not practicing art or drawing much but working in manufacturing and providing for my wife and 3 sons. As they got older, I encouraged them to follow their dreams but did not demonstrate this well as I had not put forth the commitment to my own talents. When my work situation changed 3 years in a row, and I had done a few small art projects to make ends meet, I decided then was the time for me to show my sons how to pursue a career with little more than heart, talent and ambition. Since taking on those small jobs, I have done a few more business logos, and doubled my efforts in practicing/refining my craft and building an online following. I take commissions of all sorts, from business logos and tattoo designs to wall murals. I’m looking to learn and grow as an artist, while bringing joy/beauty into the world and showing my sons just how dedication is the foundation for success.
