Artist statement
My creative process follows more than one path. Some paintings emerge through an intuitive dialogue with the canvas, where hidden forms, emotions, and symbols gradually reveal themselves as I paint. Others begin as carefully developed digital compositions that allow me to explore balance, movement, and storytelling before I bring them to life on canvas. Whether guided by intuition or a clear vision, each piece evolves through layers of color, texture, and reflection, becoming an exploration of transformation, imagination, and the human experience. My work reflects a passion for exploring multiple artistic disciplines while remaining grounded in storytelling, symbolism, and transformation. Whether working in paint, photography, or digital media, each piece is an invitation to see the familiar through a different lens. Through my work, I hope to invite viewers into a space where imagination, symbolism, and emotion intersect, allowing each person to discover their own meaning within the image. — Jennifer McConnell
