Artist statement

My subject matter is nature. Whether landscapes or flowers and hummingbirds, I use acrylic paints and inks on canvas, paper, and wood. I have painted on vintage glass bottles, murals on my walls at home, and even a very large mural on my RV where campers walking by as i was painting would stop, somewhat fascinated by the process. This was pivotal and inspired me to submit my work to galleries. I’ve dreamed of becoming an artist since I won my first art contest in 3rd grade. What I enjoy most is creating art where the viewer could imagine just stepping into the painting and strolling along a path to the water’s edge.
