Juan Carlos Guerrerosantos
Lives and works in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico
Artist statement
Juan Carlos Guerrerosantos was born in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico (1994), he recently graduated and obtained his bachelor in architecture (2019) at ITESO. His work is addressed towards his main interests and concerns: the element tectonics, and the tangibility of matter which is assembled at the present moment; the now. The context generated by the atmospheres of places and non-places, the response of constant research along with the quest for information and the production of work that dialogues and reflects different themes. Confrontation towards oneself and realities that one lives in the course of time, duality of the possible and impossible, the existing and the invisible, transformation from form to substance, without losing sight of the political scenario and the world environmental challenges are some of the chapters that Guerrerosantos tries to cover through painting, sculpture, photography, and installation in combination with his developed architectural point of view.
