Artist statement

My work is a speculative exploration of objects, weaving visual conversations that bridge the ordinary and the sacred. I arrange these dialogues among diverse materials, exploring possible transformations. Each piece begins with a purposeful search for objects and materials, selected for their cultural resonance, aesthetic allure or because they touch an internal chord. These elements undergo deliberate manipulation, seamlessly fitting into my artistic universe, a space defined by a nuanced vocabulary responding to instinct and logic. As the production unfolds, these objects merge into larger formal structures existing in a three-dimensional space, transitioning between floor and wall installations. I am interested in the possibility of blurring temporal boundaries and reshaping meanings. Laden with emotional and historical weight, each object becomes a vessel for numerous stories. My pursuit involves acknowledging their past, and uncovering latent potential while simultaneously navigating the labyrinth of personal and shared memories, both joyful and traumatic. This results in a continued process of refining a poetic language that formalizes the accidental, reinterprets history and celebrates the complexity of ambiguity.
