Artist statement
My art is part psychological exploration and part physical recycling. As an abstract multimedia artist, I use striking blacks, vivid colors, heavy textures, and found objects to build unfiltered windows into my psyche. I call these pieces M.A.P.s (Modern Abstract Psychoses) because they serve as geographic guides to my inner world. I never begin with a plan. Each piece demands absolute presence, serving as an immediate emotional discharge onto the canvas. Through this fluid, improvisational process, I confront and learn who I am. To own my artwork is to hold a literal piece of my life, my history, and the physical items I have touched and utilized.
