Kaori Miyachi Sogabe
Lives and works in London, UK
Artist statement
Mortality gives us a time limit. Soil, water, and light are the source of life. Kaori uses clay and water to express light (colour) and time. Her minor colour deficiency leads her to explore different ways to perceive colours, and she is currently expressing colours through sounds. She also depicting her attempt to go against the arrow of time with moving images. Her research is based on biology, philosophy, and physics, inspired by concepts such as dynamic equilibrium, qualia, and entropy.
