Artist statement

My work translates inner worlds of imagery into painterly and graphic compositions. The starting point is personal perceptions and everyday experiences, which condense into figurative, representational pictorial spaces. Technical precision is combined with subjective imagination. As a witness to history, I reflect on individual experience within the context of social and cultural references and understand my works as open narrative invitations to the viewer.
