Artist statement
The intention of my work is to question norms and narrative truths to offer a perspective that creates a lasting, affecting, aesthetically pleasurable image that is meant to hang on walls as both art and photography. POST MODERN EN PLEIN AIR is directly antithetical to the abilities that current photography technologies suggest. Natural light, fleeting compositions, and focal aberration create timeless, everyday-life portraits. Both the intention and results share a defined commonality with En Plein Air painting in subject, tone, color and softness of form, but the mode of operation is quintessential street photography.
