Artist statement

My process begins with stream of consciousness drawings to loosen the subconscious barrier; until the conscious mind recognizes something meaningful. I then take the drawing to a canvas using thin oil and acrylic paints which create organic textures. I feel this helps create an organic platform for my drawings and gestures to live in, as a way to unite nature and consciousness.
