Artist statement
I paint images that don’t ask to be understood, only held. I approach the process intuitively, using figures, objects and familiar spaces as points of departure. My visual language inhabits the edge between the figurative and the subconscious. Painting is not the record of an experience; it is the experience. By suspending the impulse to interpret, I hold what is present. And in a world that instrumentalizes emotion, I propose another gesture: to pause, to look without resolving, to simply hold.
