Artist statement
The stories that have occurred since the beginning of Petal Stories have all fruition a beauty, and a connection to human nature as the body can no longer belong in its more natural state of being engrossed by nature and its natural elemental states of being. Both as expression and dire need to be connected to humanity in order to grow and transform the self, the community and all those who will come to remember the images that have been produced. The journey of my art career has evolved on a multi-media platform and my intention to purse the arts relentlessly is both an environmental cause and social awareness that people like myself can continue and be apart of communities that inspire generations before and generations after. The timeless aesthetic and the authentic connections to my choice of material in roses and natural elements such as clay become included in my lexicon of ideas that distribute the natural essences that I perceive as human, as myself. The mastery of myself and the work I do began many years ago but it is in this body of work that I have cultivated a new expression that is executed properly. Roses are the highest of all frequencies on a physics plane the rose requires more sun in order to grow its intricate features. It’s transmutation of the sun-rays is one of the most spectacular sights available to the human eye.
