Artist statement

Passion to change the world is what my art is all about. Every piece addresses issues that I feel are important, of what’s right and what’s wrong. I utilize my sense of humor and contrariety to make the underlying concerns more engaging. In that way my work is a “gateway” to greater understanding Art has the ability to communicate in ways words cannot do. I feel it’s incumbent for me to use my skills and knowledge to achieve visual statements that are as incisive as they are entertaining. I work in thematic series, which reflect how I feel about the subject matter. I use traditional tools like pen and ink and oils as well as an array of digital image-making tools. I use whatever medium I feel fits the project. I am extremely versatile in that sense
