Artist statement

Through vibrant colors, spontaneous brush strokes, and intriguing imagery, I use my art to tell stories. I draw inspiration mainly from personal experiences, family members’ experiences, conversations with strangers, books, music lyrics, etc. I'm focused on uncovering obscured stories so that there's a space for them to be talked about. My goal with every piece is to keep the viewer engaged and curious about what they’re looking at. I strive to fill every artwork with meaning and depth so that the audience can piece together the message on their own without even having to read an exhibition text.
