Artist statement

Moments from my life and their impact on me always play a central role in my work. I translate these experiences through colour and form, often using them boldly and in layered compositions to evoke emotion and depth. Just as every memory in someone’s life is specific and unique - haunting or shaping a person in its own particular way - so too do my artworks behave. Each piece consists of many small stories, depicted in different artistic styles, which together create the complete image. Each work is less about delivering a fixed message and more about presenting my life stories in a colourful, open space between the viewer and the image itself.
