Artist statement
Instability and change are central to my practice. I work with pigment powder, water, and gravity, allowing their interactions to unfold freely and reveal their own natural intelligence. Each painting becomes a unique imprint of a moment in time, a record of flux, like a stamp of the present. I begin by relinquishing control, letting the materials move, react, and settle on their own terms. Only after this initial phase do I intervene, layering and refining the surface over several days. This process allows instability to remain present within the work rather than be resolved or resisted. Through this dialogue with material and time, I explore how transformation can exist within stillness, how something fluid can take form, and how the act of painting itself becomes a collaboration with impermanence.
