Artist statement
Martin Miller is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Ridgewood, NY. Working across a broad range of materials and methodologies including but not limited to text, video, sculpture, installation, and drawing, his work utilizes the logic of systems, strategies of visibility and misdirection, risk and precarity, to explore the ways connections are formed and sociopolitical power is expressed across built environments and human networks. Currently he is researching and working on projects related to the psychohistory of copper and bread as currency.
