Abstract painting is the experimental, research and development wing of my art practice; it's the core DNA from which I generate physical and projected images. My work’s baroque style demonstrates my aesthetic preferences, gravitating toward paintings made with discrete marks to maximize graphic dissonance between moves, without figures. Harmonies and counterpoints of abstraction between textures, colors, shapes and movements are framed by their own contentious materialities, as I’ve found everywhere I’ve made work.
